New Year ! New Talent! Come and see what’s in store for 2023 for Ida y Vuelta Flamenco.  The company will be joined by several international talents, including singer/guitarist Pedro Jimenez from Cadiz, Spain, and more.  The intimate theater space at the Bath House provides the perfect setting to enjoy the nuances of each artist and number.

Juan Pedro Jimenez

A native of Cadiz, Pedro Jimenez was raised performing with the gypsy family Romeros de Vejer. A singer and guitarist, he studied music at the Royal Conservatory, and learned from Flamenco singer José Anillo, Calixto Sánchez, and guitarists such as Victor Rosa, Tito Alcedo and Rafael Segura Torres (Faluky).

Charles Johnson

Also known as Luckie Abejorro, Charles Johnson is the greatest supporter of Director Julia Alcantara’s work. A multi-skilled counterpart to match the diverse talents of Ms. Alcantara, this dynamic duo has spawned hundreds of cultural productions in Dallas and beyond.

Julia Alcantara

Julia Alcántara performed in The Dallas Opera’s production of La Vida Breve, at the Palace Theater for the Performing Arts in San Francisco, and the World Cup Opening Ceremonies, Spain vs South Korea. Ms. Alcantara interpreted Ravel’s Bolero for the Irving Symphony Orchestra in their “Dallas Treasures” concert in January 2019. Ms. Alcantara’s week-long ‘Oak Cliff Flamenco Festival’ is in its 9th year, presenting flamenco dance and music performances by local and international artists, dance classes, culinary arts, and flamenco-themed cinema.
