All sculptures musts be safe for a public setting and made of materials that can withstand the harsh Texas weather and not require any maintenance. The honorarium is $1,800 dollars with an additional $500 awarded to the People’s Choice. Due to the scale and openness of the park large, monumental sculptures are encouraged.

The City of Navasota and The Arts Council of Brazos Valley invite artists to apply for a six-month residency in Navasota, Texas! The Artists in Residence will have an opportunity to live, work, and exhibit in the historic Horlock Home in Navasota, Texas, which includes living and studio space for each of the three selected artists as well as a retail gallery space. The residency period is six (6) months from early/mid-September 2022 to late February 2023
The City of Navasota will provide amenities including living/studio space, retail gallery space, internet, cable, and utilities free of charge to selected artists to provide artists the opportunity to create and sell their work. Each artist will also receive a one-time $600 stipend at the beginning of the residency to assist with groceries, fuel, and supply purchases.

The Bryan Artist in Residence will have an opportunity to live and work in a home located right in the heart of Downtown Bryan generously donated by BCS Modern. The selected artist will live in a 1140 square foot apartment. Housing will include utilities (water, electricity, and internet). The Art in Public Places Program of New Mexico Arts and the Local Selection Committee (LSC) at New Mexico State University (NMSU) and New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA) seek to purchase 1 to 3 EXTERIOR public artworks for the newly constructed NMDA courtyard area on the NMSU campus in Las Cruces, NM. Three exterior locations have been identified for artwork installations. This area is a connection point and gathering place for stakeholders of the agriculture industry, students, and the public. Professional artists working in the Southwest (AZ, UT, CO, OK, TX, and NM) are invited to submit outdoor friendly artworks ready for purchase that embody the spirit, history, importance, and impact of agriculture in New Mexico and beyond. Artworks must be submitted with an “all-inclusive” price (artwork, identification plaque, delivery, and secure/permanent installation on site). This is a call for photographic imagery that focuses on the human body as depicted in hand-made prints using alternative photographic processes. Public or private spaces, full-body or partial bodies, nude or clothed, self-images or of others… male, female, non-binary, emotional, intellectual, confrontational, questioning, spiritual, sexual, sensual… All forms of exploration are welcome including images that examine subjects such as identity, intimacy, love, sexuality, gaze, social and cultural structure, beauty, ritual, and voyeurism..
Digital photographic images can be used in combination with other processes, but straight digital prints will not be accepted. 3D and experimental work is encouraged.
