CALL DESCRIPTION – BOTANICAL is a national juried exhibition. The theme asks artists to a have a deep dig into the intrepid underbelly of botanical life. ELIGIBILITY – All artists 18 years or older, working in the mediums of painting, drawing, photography and mixed media may submit up to 3 pieces for jury selection DATES AND ENTRY DETAILS – Submit images of your work no later than midnight, June 17, 2021. Successful entries will be announced by June 22, 2021. Work must be delivered to TAGat120ART, 120 W. 2nd Street, Taylor, TX 76574, no later than July 6, 2021.
Show opens 4pm, July 10, 2021. Show closes Saturday August 28, 2021.
FEES AND PRIZES – Artists may enter up to 3 pieces for $35.00 in the categories of 2D and photography -1st prize – $500, 2nd prize – $250, and 3rd prize – a Jerry’s Artarama Gift certificate.

The Oklahoma State University Department of Art, Graphic Design and Art History seeks entries for its 2021 Cimarron National Works on Paper exhibit. Artists living in the U.S. are invited to submit work made with or on paper, produced within the last three years. Examples include prints, drawings, photography and mixed-media work.
This year, the Cimarron National returns with an expanded vision for contemporary works on paper. Serving as juror for 2021 is Larissa Goldston, Director and co-owner of Universal Limited Art Editions (ULAE), New York. The exhibition will be held in the Gardiner Gallery of Art on the Oklahoma State University-Stillwater campus August 16 to September 17, 2021
The Cimarron National Works on Paper will award a purchase prize of up to $2,000. Purchased work will be added to the permanent collection of the Department of Art, housed in the Oklahoma State University Museum of Art.

Iridescence, the phenomenon of color shifting as the angle of view or illumination changes, is a captivating sensation. In the natural world, iridescence is found in soap bubbles, bird feathers, butterfly wings, gemstones, seashells, and fish and snake scales.
The Louisiana Art & Science Museum is accepting submissions from artists of all styles and mediums for Iridescence: Juried Competition, a competition spotlighting the use of iridescent materials, principles, and techniques in the creation of fine art. Winning submissions will be featured in an online exhibition and a select number of works will be included in an in-person exhibition at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum.
Juror Bradley Sumrall is Curator of the Collection for the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, where he is involved in building, researching, and interpreting the nation’s most comprehensive collection of art of the American South.

AMoA BIENNIAL-600: Justice-Equality-Race-Identity will be an exhibition of artworks selected by a juror from works submitted by artists residing within a 600-mile radius of Amarillo, Texas. The exhibition will be on view from October 22, 2021—January 2, 2022.
AMoA BIENNIAL-600: Justice-Equality-Race-Identity is the ninth in an ongoing series of juried biennial exhibitions exploring specific areas of artistic practice, material, and content. The previous exhibition focuses include Drawing (’05), Clay (‘07), Glass (‘09), Figurative Painting (‘11), Printmaking (‘13), Sculpture (’15), and Architecture (’17), Textile/Fiber (’19). This year, the AMoA staff and Board of Trustees are excited to offer the museum’s exhibition spaces to artists with a socially engaged practice.

In this time of isolation and uncertainty, nature became a refuge for many, a new experience for some and a muse for others. This exhibition welcomes work utilizing alternative photographic techniques referencing nature. Nature is defined loosely. Any aspect of the natural world can be referenced: plant, animal (including humans), the imaginary etc. Artists are asked to consider how their relationship with the natural world has been altered in recent years. Have external constraints shifted your images and your choice of processes?
Digital photographic images can be used in combination with other processes, but straight digital prints will not be accepted. 3D and experimental work is encouraged. Light Art Space invites LBGTQ, Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and self-identifying artists of color – historically under-represented artists working in the visual arts – to submit.
