Bonham’s Creative Arts Center Announces Amended Hours & Restrictions

Call for Art -The Eyes Have It Exhibit Opens April 3

The Creative Arts Center is open for individuals or pairs of persons who wish to see the current exhibit and shop in the gift shop and have not been exposed to the Coronavirus or anyone with a respiratory infection. The center is temporarily closed on Saturdays but open Tuesday – Friday from 10 to 5. The current exhibit is posted on the website as are many gift shop items, and purchases may be made over the telephone.

Group activities and classes are suspended until further notice and the upcoming Red River Art, Wine & Music Fest, originally scheduled for May 9 has been postponed tentatively to August 15.    As the summer progresses, the CAC will continue to examine options and will keep public safety as the primary concern.

In the meantime, art may still be submitted for the next exhibition – “The Eyes Have It” which goes up in the gallery on Friday, April 3. Art will be accepted from Wednesday, March 25 through Wednesday, April 1 and only from artists who are not ill, have not been exposed to the virus and have not been exposed to anyone with any kind of respiratory infection. Artists may arrange to bring art to the center and leave it on the front porch to avoid direct contact. This is perfectly acceptable. CAC members may enter for free and non-members may enter for $25 per person.

The exhibit runs through the end of April and submissions will be posted online at www.creativeartscenterbonham.com on the exhibits page.

For more information about art exhibits or purchases, contact the gallery at 903-640-2196 or visit the website. The Creative Arts Center requests that anyone who has recently been ill or been exposed to a respiratory virus of any kind or has recently traveled out of the country to refrain from visiting the center.     Lisa Avila Executive Director   Creative Arts Center200 W. 5th Street, Bonham, TX 75418903-640-2196www.creativeartscenterbonham.com
