* Students attending the Mixed Media Portrait Workshop will create a unique portrait made from a variety of new and old materials. You will take ordinary objects and use them in reimagined ways to create the portrait: matchsticks that become hair, lips made from beads, or wire into eyeglass frames. Please bring meaningful items to incorporate into the composition. You can also bring your own bits of fabric, paper, paints, beads and objects in a variety of shapes and sizes. Glue, paper, paint and other found objects will be provided.

Student MUST bring a couple of good photocopies of a head shot of the person (maybe yourself) you want to base the portrait on. The face must fill up an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper – too small doesn’t work.

$120.00 if paid by check/cash, if Paypal $127.00 Your REGISTRATION payment holds your space in the workshop.

Workshop Location: The MIX, 9125 Diceman Drive, Dallas, TX 75218 Located in the basement of White Rock United Methodist Church.
