Spring Paint-Out !
Chandor Gardens SATURDAY, June 1st – 9am – 3pm
WE HOPE YOU’LL JOIN US IN A SPRING PAINT-OUT AT
CHANDOR GARDENS IN WEATHERFORD, TEXAS Located at 711 West Lee Avenue in Weatherford. Admission: $5.00/person
It’ll be a fun time of seeing the beautiful gardens, and sketching & painting with a good group of watercolor friends!
General Notes from Bill: Saturday the Gardens are open 9am to 3pm. You can spend all day or just a few hours. So that everyone can comment and admire, we will try to have a “throw down” of our masterpieces around 2pm. You can go out for lunch or bring a sandwich and eat under a shade tree. (Please clean up your trash;we want to be good guests). Also, there will be a wedding going on, so let’s be respectful of that party. Try not to block any of the paths. It’s okay to sit or set up your easel on the grassy areas.
There are no rules regarding your artwork: bring a Plein Air easel and full paint kit or just a small sketchbook. Your choice. If you’re painting, have a trash bag for your paper towels. The gardens are stunningly beautiful, very shady (it might be hot in May). There are lots of flowers and some very dense tree limbs overhead. Some benches are available for sitting but it would be good to have a small portable stool in the car, just in case.
