Hello from the East Dallas Arts District team!
Our team is building an official unified support system for the East and Old East Dallas arts community (art, music, performance & creative events) including local businesses supportive of that community. Our mission is to enrich, educate, and inspire the community through the arts.
Our goal is to connect with the communities in East/Old East Dallas and DFW via an annual art walk, art focused educational events, exhibitions, artist talks/demos, open studios, pop up exhibits, performances, and beautification projects in East/Old East Dallas, such as outdoor murals and sculptural works.
The East Dallas Arts District boundaries are Mockingbird Lane to Parry Avenue and Exposition Avenue to Winsted Drive.
EAST DALLAS ARTS WALK
We have started the planning process for the East Dallas Arts District’s first annual Art Walk EAST event, which is scheduled for November 9, 11:00 am – 6:00 pm. SAVE THE DATE!
This event will be our first introduction to the community, and we are planning to open the invitation up to the DFW community to visit East Dallas/Old East Dallas for a day of creative exploration. The event, which is free to the public to attend, will take place in multiple locations within the East Dallas Arts District boundaries of Mockingbird Lane to Parry Avenue and Exposition Avenue to Winsted Drive.
We look forward to working collectively with artists and sponsors on this eventful day, highlighting the many personal studio spaces, eclectic galleries, diverse venues, unique murals, and broad scope of imagination thriving in East Dallas/Old East Dallas.

The form asks:
1. Confirm if you would like to be on board with participating in the East Dallas Arts District Annual Art Walk EAST as an artist.
2. Confirm if you will be available to participate in the November 9th Art Walk EAST event from 11am to 6pm.
3. For the East Dallas Arts District Art Walk map, please share the physical address of your studio/location. If you need a venue to show your work (within the East Dallas Arts District boundaries of Mockingbird Lane to Parry Avenue and Exposition Avenue to Winsted Drive) during the Art Walk, please indicate this in the form.
4. Include in the form one or two images (.jpg or.png) of your work, which you feel best represents you as an artist.
5. For the East Dallas Arts District online artist directory, share your name, contact info, website, and artist social media handles.
6. Pay the $30 annual East Dallas Arts District participation fee via the same form at https://www.jotform.com/build/240746167766164#. These funds will go directly towards offsetting the costs for the Art Walk and promotion of Art Walk participating artists.
If you are an East Dallas musician or performing artist we would love for you to be a part of the East Dallas Arts District Art Walk as well! Visual artists, if you know any musicians or performing artists who you think might like to be a part of the art walk please have them contact us!
Our goal in building a successful East Dallas Arts District community is to establish East Dallas and Old East Dallas as a diverse arts destination, full of urban heritage, culturally rich experiences, and creative expression.
If you know of an artist or creative who you think would be interested in participating in the East Dallas Arts District First Annual Art Walk East, we would appreciate it if you could forward this information on to them.
