Recent Acquisitions to the WFMA Permanent Collection  This exhibition explores art acquired recently through purchases made possible by the Collectors Circle and through donations by individuals. This includes a watercolor painting by Charles Criner, a print by Julie Speed, and an award-winning friendship quilt by the Faith Village Ladies Bible Class of 1992, including Texas First Lady Joe Betsy Allred.
Rugged Beauty: The Flora and Fauna of the Dalquest Desert Research Station
October 25 – March 18, 2023Experience the extraordinary beauty of the Chihuahuan Desert with a new collection of images by wife and husband team, Hannah and William Meddaugh. Commissioned by MSU in 2016, this collection commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Dalquest Desert Research Station. Located near Big Bend National Park, the 3,000-acre site was donated to the University by biology Professor Emeritus Walter W. Dalquest and his wife Rose Dalquest in 1966. With this gift, the University created an unparalleled opportunity for students of all disciplines to participate in field research and learning. 
From Boom to Bust Modernism, Regionalism, & Social Realism (1920-1940)
October 20 – February 4, 2023From Boom to Bust invites twenty-five American artists from three different movements into conversation about the art, literature, and film they produced between the two World Wars. Some of America’s most important artists and writers of the 20th century have a seat at the table—Charles Sheeler, John Dos Passos, Edward Hopper, Upton Sinclair, and more. Some were friends; some foes. Some avant-garde; others traditionalists. Modernists. Regionalists. Social Realists. Americans all.
