The Pearce Museum is currently extending an invitation to artists working in the Western Art genre to submit works for our Texas Invitational Art Show and Sale from February 22 to March 23, 2023. This show will be focusing on connecting with new artists and maintaining relationships with contemporary Western artists throughout the state of Texas.
To apply for the show, only Texas artists (that were born or work in the state) will be accepted. Artists will send digital images of their work, minus their signature, to the Pearce Museum’s curator by January 2, 2023, who will present the entries to the selection committee for a blind selection process. Submitted entries will be reviewed based on the aesthetic and technical skills of the artist in depicting the American West. All applicants will be notified if they have been accepted into the show by January 16, 2023.
Once all art has arrived and is properly displayed at the museum, Awards Juror Tony Eubanks will arrive to begin judging the 2023 Texas Invitational. The awards will be announced at the show’s opening day and will be presented at the Closing Reception on March 23.
