NATURAL FORCES debuts at DHV ARTWORKS on September 24, from noon – 5 p.m. Artists will be in attendance; refreshments, wine, cheese, and small bites will be on offer. The closing reception will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. on October 22, when all purchased artworks are available for pick-up.
A month-long exhibit, NATURAL FORCES unites 10 extraordinary female artists in their exploration of both enduring and fluid landscapes of mind and matter.
Deborah Hartigan Viestenz curated one series from each of the mid-career and emerging artists with works ranging from abstract mixed media to intricately detailed ink, oil, and acrylic.
The artists’ souls are glimpsed through expressionistic faces in various states of emotion to subtle silhouettes amongst collage backgrounds. Enduring nature is evidenced in detailed microcosms to boldly colored landscapes. Each artist’s impressive works stand alone; in unity, the collective result is powerful.
