Full Beginner / Introductory Workshop 10:am to 4:00 pm$130 (includes the Stencils, Incising Collage and Masking noon to 4:00 pm)Beginner / Introductory workshop descriptionIn these Beginner / Introductory Workshops you will be learning a variety of techniques including how to build layers, fuse, texture, work with grids, stencils, embed objects, incise, transfer, collage and much more along with a working knowledge on how to melt and mix wax, a bit about the history of wax painting, a working knowledge of supplies and how to create your own workspace! All supplies included.1. Textiles, Paper and Encaustic workshop with Leigh Harrison:2. Stencils, Incising Collage and Maskingnoon to 4:00 pm $80Incorporate stencils and collage into your encaustic routine. This workshop will cover a multitude of ways to add depth, color, pattern, and texture with commercial as well as hand-made stencils.ALL supplies included: Encaustic medium and paint, collage papers, image printouts, stencils, incising tools, pigment sticks, boards, ink and Pan Pastels. You are welcome to bring any stencils, laser and/or inkjet printouts and any favorite tools etc. to further personalize your work. |

Monotypes are very freeing and lend themselves to drawing, painting and energetic mark-making… lots of fun! ALL supplies included. This 3 hour workshop is designed for artists of all levels, even those new to encaustic painting.2.
