           UMUT DEMİRGÜÇ THURMAN / THE TALES FROM THE BENCH

                                April 1 – April 7, 2022

Umut Demirgüç Thurman’s metalwork and jewelry, which is inspired by fairy tales, will be on display at Denton Workbench. The exhibition can be seen between April 1-7, 2022. The opening is on Friday, April 1st at 6pm. There will be light refreshments and Turkish delights.

Umut Demirgüç Thurman works internationally, teaching and regularly exhibiting her work.  Currently, she is teaching jewelry and metalsmithing as an adjunct professor at the University of North Texas while coordinating an enameling and metalsmithing studio in Istanbul.  She received her MFA from the University of North Texas in Metalsmithing and Jewelry in 2005, and her BFA from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul, Turkey in Textile and Fashion Design in 1997.
