Fort Worth’s Near Southside Cultural District, managed by sister non-profit organizations Near Southside, Inc.and Near Southside Arts, is thrilled to share the opening of a 2,400 square foot Near Southside community art space, The Pool. The Pool is located at 1801 8th Avenue at the ground floor of the Everly Plaza residential building.
The Pool’s inaugural art exhibition, Vitro Moda, will feature more than 30 glass artists from SiNaCa Studios. The show opens to the public this Saturday, March 5 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
SiNaCa Studios — the Magnolia Avenue-based glass studio, school, and gallery — will be The Pool’s first partnership. SiNaCa Studios Vitro Moda show is the organization’s largest exhibit of the year, with more than 80 artworks on display including many for sale.
LOVE TEXAS ART
Artspace111 announces an expansion with the opening of Love Texas Art at 501 Houston Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. Love Texas Art is a gallery exhibition space that will display contemporary Texas artists and will highlight Artspace111 current stable of artists. Artspace111 is dedicated to making contemporary art approachable to individuals of all ages and Love Texas Art will pursue this mission as well.
Love Texas Art will host their Grand Opening and present Saccharine Millenia, a solo exhibition of works by Sari Shryack (@not_sorry_art); an internationally renowned Austin-based artist on Spring Gallery Night. The exhibition will run from March 26 – May14, 2022. Presenting a collection of still life paintings, her brightly candy-colored works of era-denoting consumer items are inspired by childhood experiences in the 90’s and 2000’s and address the obsession of consumer culture. Shryack’s unapologetically colorful paintings that include whimsical disco balls and even memes have drawn attention from all over the world through her social media presence on Instagram.
| Love Texas Art will be open on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 5-9PM for Spring Gallery Night and the Opening Reception for Saccharine Millenia. This reception will provide an opportunity for guests and patrons to meet and visit with the artist. The gallery requests that guests RSVP via Eventbrite. Social distancing and wearing masks inside the gallery is highly encouraged. |
