The Annual Spirit of the West 2021 Competition continues with a Call for Entries. This show is open to all artists 18 years or older. Spirit of the West will celebrate the heritage of the American West. Art should capture not only landscapes but the rugged independence and tenacious adventures of the majestic west and the individuals and animals that made it happen!
This is a juried show. Artists should submit pictures of their work online to [email protected]. The judge will select all work to be submitted. Artists will be informed of their acceptance into the show no later than September 13th. Judging will be completed after all work is hung or displayed. This is an all media show, therefore, there is only one category. Prizes will be awarded for Best of Show and Awards of Merit. Prizes in the past have been substantial. Artworks must not have been entered in any past WAA Western Art Show. All works must be wired for hanging with frame. 3-D pedestals will be provided. Paintings must be dry, and pastels fixed. Artworks must be original. No giclee’s.
