LOCATION | Sí Gallery is a brand new exhibition space built by the Dab Art Co. and located in the very trendy East Sixth neighborhood of Downtown Austin. East 6th is hipster central for Austin. It’s home to honky tonks, dive bars, and restaurants. It’s also home to several live music venues, notably The White Horse and Hotel Vegas, both of which serve Austin’s budding musical talent. Home to the new Tesla headquarters and the famed SXSW (South By Soutwest) Festival. The eclectic local population of artists, professionals and techie’s have made their home on “the Eastside” of Austin creating a unique and thriving downtown district.

The PAPNM 13th National Juried Members Exhibition is a juried exhibition and sale of original two-dimensional en plein air artworks presented by the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico, hosted by Sorrel Sky Gallery from 10/30/21 through 11/12/21. 

PAPNM members of the following levels are eligible for this event: Artist Members, Signature Members, Master Signature Members. Master Signature Members will receive a separate email invitation.  PAPNM Membership for 2021 must be current. 
Each artist may submit up to 4 images. The 1st image is $35, each additional image is $10 paid via CaFÉTM.  
All work must be at least 80% completed en plein air during the last 2 years.
Maximum size per piece is 192 square inches unframed (12”x16”).  Images may not include signatures or frame.  Images not adhering to these requirements will be withdrawn from consideration and not be replaced.
Two artworks may be selected for exhibition from each artist.

Prospectus #265 National Hispanic Cultural Center – Acequia Revitalization Project

The Art in Public Places Program of New Mexico Arts and the Local Selection Committee at the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) seek an artist or artist team to revitalize the Paseo Acequia through the creation of an exterior, site-specific commission project on the NHCC campus. The artwork will be located at the Paseo Acequia on the East side of campus. The concrete acequia itself and adjoining graveled area between the acequia and walkway are to be considered. Professional artists working in the Southwest region (Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico) and demonstrating a level of experience that is commensurate with the project scope and budget are invited to submit qualifications to this opportunity. A total budget of $80,274 is available for the project inclusive of all costs, taxes, and fees.

The City of Navasota and The Arts Council of Brazos Valley invite artists to apply for a six-month residency in Navasota, Texas! The Artists in Residence will have an opportunity to live, work, and exhibit in the historic Horlock Home in Navasota, Texas, which includes living and studio space for each of the three selected artists as well as a retail gallery space. The residency period is six (6) months from September 2021 to February 2022.

The City of Navasota will provide amenities including living/studio space, retail gallery space, internet, cable, and utilities free of charge to selected artists to provide artists the opportunity to create and sell their work. Each artist will also receive a one-time $600 stipend at the beginning of the residency to assist with groceries, fuel, and supply purchases.

AMoA BIENNIAL-600: Justice-Equality-Race-Identity will be an exhibition of artworks selected by a juror from works submitted by artists residing within a 600-mile radius of Amarillo, Texas.  The exhibition will be on view from October 22, 2021—January 2, 2022.

AMoA BIENNIAL-600: Justice-Equality-Race-Identity is the ninth in an ongoing series of juried biennial exhibitions exploring specific areas of artistic practice, material, and content.  The previous exhibition focuses include Drawing (’05), Clay (‘07), Glass (‘09), Figurative Painting (‘11), Printmaking (‘13), Sculpture (’15), and Architecture (’17), Textile/Fiber (’19).  This year, the AMoA staff and Board of Trustees are excited to offer the museum’s exhibition spaces to artists with a socially engaged practice.

The annual Fiber Artists of San Antonio Exhibition is open to FASA members and non-members. We seek entries that utilize in whole or in part the use of fiber; art quilts, woven textiles, sculptural forms, vessels/basketry, art dolls, art to wear garments or accessories or mixed media art.  The theme for this year’s exhibition is The Language of Fiber Art and is intended to show the diversity and depth of expression that can be achieved with fiber.  Up to three art pieces per artists are allowed. PrintMatters is pleased to announce Press Forward, a national student printmaking exhibition to be held in Houston, TX in the fall of 2021. We are looking for exceptional works from current student printmakers that explore the wide range of traditional and innovative printmaking processes. Original works in all printmaking media are eligible, including  lithographs, screenprints, relief prints, intaglio, monoprints, and letterpress. Digital and mixed media works are accepted which incorporate a traditional printmaking medium as a main component. No photography or digital reproductions of original works will be accepted. Works must be completed within the last two years.This exhibition is open to current students in highschool or students currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program.
