Park Shots – Celebrating Photography within Our National Parks

With travel resuming this year many vacationers will head to the national parks.  High on their list during the visit will include taking memorable photographs.  Park Shots, now on exhibit at Goldmark Cultural Center answers the need for capturing praiseworthy images.  Author and photographer, Anthony Jones, selected a variety of pieces from his portfolio including the deserts of Joshua Tree, the canyons of Zion, and the rain forests the Pacific Northwest. This wide variety will serve to inspire the viewer to plan their own collection.  In addition to the selected works showing details of location and photo settings, there will be Jones’ photography guidebooks on Mount Ranier National Park, Zion National  Park, and Joshua Tree National Park available for purchase.

After a decade of travel with his camera, Jones realized a shortage of published information on best practices and locations within national parks.  He provides guidance to avoid wasted time and energy to only be disappointed with the final take-home work.

The exhibit runs from March 26, 2021 through May 1 with an opening reception on Saturday, April 17, from 1-5 pm.  Guidebooks will also be offered for sale during the In Between Art Sale on May 1 from 1-5 pm.   Goldmark Cultural Center is located at 13999 Goldmark Drive, Dallas TX 75240 http://goldmarkculturalcenter.org
