Laurin McCracken is an award winning artist whose paintings have been exhibited in juried shows around the world and nationally to include NWS and AWS. His paintings have been included in multiple shows in China and included in international watercolor exhibitions such as The World Watermedia Exposition, in Thailand and the Malaysian Watercolor International just to name a few. His paintings are included in permanent collections in the National Museum of China, the Asian Museum of Watercolor Art and others. He is a member of a dozen watercolor societies and an Elected Member of the Allied Artists of America in their Watermedia Category. His work has been published in many national and international magazines and has been included in books such as Splash 9-21. He is the Past President of the Watercolor USA Honor Society and is known for his unique approaches to watercolor. His portrait and landscape paintings are visually rich and emotionally profound. His art incorporates the artistic traditions of the East and West. Stephen’s paintings have been included or awarded by Signature American Watermedia International Exhibition, Chinese National Art Exhibition, Art Olympia (Japan), Infiniti National Art Competition, Watermedia Showcase, Watercolor USA, Transparent Watercolor Society of American, Watercolor West, Splash, and American Illustration. He has been featured in publications such as American Art Collector, International Artist, Watercolor Artist, The Art of Watercolor, Art and Design, and Pratique Des Arts. He just participated in the online Watercolor Live! event, and performed an amazing demo for the huge watercolor audience.
