Monday, March 22, 2021 from 6-9 p.m.Fashion Statements: Texas Fashion Collection at the University of North Texas. Presented by Annette Becker, director of the Texas Fashion Collection.
An exploration of textile-forward fashions from the holdings of the UNT Texas Fashion Collection. Together we’ll examine quilt-inspired dresses by Mountain Artisans, art-to-wear jackets by Amy Zerner, and embroidery by storied French fashion houses. The lecture and object-based study will conclude with a brief tour of the TFC’s facilities, offering a peek behind the scenes of the Collection’s nearly 20,000 artifact holdings.
