RCAS presents 26 Significant Works – one of many exhibits each year

Lift your spirits as Richardson Civic Art Society (RCAS) presents 26 Significant Works from Signature Artist and members. The quiet and safe Richardson Civic Center houses the Exhibit in the main entry through the Election. The Show happily presents a wide diversity in subject matter – portraits, abstract, rodeo, birds, plus landscapes and flowers. Richardson Civic Center @ 411 W Arapaho Rd, Richardson, TX 75080.

RCAS presents several art shows each year. It all starts with our Membership Show in the Fall. Those members wanting to display their 2D work and compete for prizes are eligible to enter. This year the show is an Online Show.

In the Winter, our Young People’s Scholarship Show hangs in the 3rd Floor Gallery with representation from our talented Richardson high school students competing for cash awards.

Following the Young People’s Show is the Rosemary Cheney Memorial Art Show. This showcases the RISD Elementary students.

The Spring Show gives artists a chance to display and compete for prize money and awards. This show is open to any 2D artists in the surrounding communities who are over the age of 18.

Our premier show is the Regional Juried Art Exhibition which is displayed at the Eisemann Center for the Performing Arts. This juried show is open to qualified amateur and professional Texas artists. Prize awards totaling over $6900.00 in cash and merchandise are presented at a reception honoring entrants and their families and friends.

Our final show is a casual display of any artwork that members wish to hang in the 3rd Floor Gallery during the summer months. We call this our Simply Summer Show and Sale.
