I will be teaching a 2-day online workshopfor pastel and oil painters on Saturday, June 13th, and Sunday, June 14th. The workshop fee is $250 and the class will be 15 students max.
“CAPTURING LIGHT – Interpreting Values and Shapes”
Saturday and Sunday, June 13-14, 2020
9am to 4pm, MDT, (includes one-hour lunch)
This 2-day, online workshop is for both pastel and oil painters. Students are welcome to work in either one media or both.
All you will need are your regular painting materials, a device (PC or laptop, ipad and iphoneare too small) to connect to the internet, and a free Zoom account from zoom.us/
The workshop includes:
Lectures on a variety of topics.
Demos in both pastels and oils.
A digital slideshow of my oil and pastel paintings.
Ongoing instructor critiques of individual students’ works in progress.
This workshop is designed to help you achieve the next level in your pastel and oil paintings by understanding how to interpret and render light in your painting along with other elements. All subject matter choices are welcome as the focus of this workshop concentrates on interpreting values and shapes, which is primary in all paintings.
