Creative Arts Center in Bonham Announces Red River Art, Wine & Music Fest Date for 2020
Tentatively moved to August 15 because of quarantine restrictions.
The Creative Arts Center’s biggest event of the year will return on Saturday, May 9 when the Red River Art, Wine & Music Fest returns with a big Silent Auction, art classes, an exhibit, a Youth Art Contest, children’s arts can crafts, a Community Art Project, wine tasting and all-day music and fun. Admission is free again this year and the event runs from 9 AM to 5 PM. Performers of all types from all over the region are always on hand to play music and entertain. Artist vendors will also participate so this will be a great opportunity to find a perfect gift for Mother’s Day!
“We embrace the small size of our wonderful festival,” says CAC Executive Director Lisa Avila. “Frankly, having 10,000 people doesn’t feel like a festival in a small town. Our festival is always enjoyable for the folks who attend, because there aren’t long lines and such a big crowd that you can’t get close to the music and performers. At the Red River Art Fest, you can have a great glass of wine, go shopping, win a prize by participating in our Art Walk around the square, take a class and your kids can enjoy arts and crafts all day – that can’t happen with huge crowds and a hefty admission fee. Using local talent for our performers ensures great music but again – without the big admission fee.”
Artist vendors are welcome to inquire about participating and must be juried in (if they are not already CAC members). Sponsors, advertisers and donations to the Silent Auction are also needed. More information about the Community Art Project will be forthcoming, but for other information, contact the center at 903-640-2196 or visit their website at https://www.creativeartscenterbonham.com/.
