How the Arts Council can help you: Arts at a Distance

A message from the Arts Council of Fort Worth, Fort Worth Community Arts Center and Fort Worth Public Art

It’s times like these that show us how vital the arts are to our community. The Arts Council has mobilized quickly to do everything we can to provide resources for the arts community- both for arts organizations and individual creatives.
Here is what the Arts Council is doing:
We created Arts at a Distance to provide access to and amplify the arts in Fort Worth.

We have developed a $50,000 fund to provide Emergency Relief Grants to arts nonprofits in Fort Worth. We’re asking you to help us double this fund.
We have added a new page to our website that covers every resource we can find to help individuals and organizations.
Arts At A Distance with the Fort Worth Community Arts Center and Fort Worth Public Art

The Arts Council is committed to providing the community with access to the arts during this time. The Arts Center has moved its exhibitions and theater programming online and opened up new social media channels. Our new YouTube channel has Gallery tours, images, and in-depth information on each of the exhibitions can be found on the Arts Center’s website. The Arts Center is amplifying artists from across the city through social media. Fort Worth Public Art is still moving forward with projects in every stage of development throughout the city. You can track all of the public art projects here. Curious about public art in your neighborhood? Look for it here on FWPA’s interactive map.

How You Can Help
The Arts Council understands that this is a challenging time for arts nonprofits and the more than 14,000 local creatives they employ. When the restrictions on gathering are lifted, we want the arts community to be as strong as before. To support these organizations, we have developed a $50,000 fund to provide Emergency Relief Grants to arts nonprofits in Fort Worth. Due to the high demand for this limited fund, we are asking our community to help us double the available dollars. Click here to make a contribution today to keep the arts thriving in Fort Worth.
If you are an 501(c)(3) arts nonprofit and you are interested in applying, you can find the guidelines here.
