Demo artist: Michael Pianta – Oil Portraits

Michael Pianta is an artist living in Fort Worth, TX. He has a BFA from the University of Texas at Tyler, where he graduated cum laude in 2009. In 2011 he moved to Fort Worth, to attend the Texas Academy of Figurative Art (TAFA), an atelier style school specializing in traditional realistic drawing and painting techniques. In 2016 he became a student-instructor at TAFA, teaching the beginning students. He graduated from TAFA with certificates in Drawing and Painting in 2017, and now teaches the evening figure drawing course there. He has taught private drawing and painting lessons around Fort Worth since 2014. He is a member of Oil Painters of America, and has participated in numerous exhibitions. Most recently he and his wife Audra established Pianta Studios.
