| June 7th: Private Studio Reception 6PM-9PM @ The Cedars Union This reception allows CU artists to bring gallerists, collectors, friends and family to their studios. The event is invitation only. | June 13th: Cedars #Trashtag 6:30PM-8:30PM @ The Cedars Union Show your love for the Cedars by joining us in a neighborhood cleanup. Starting and ending at The Cedars Union, artists and friends will walk to Lee Harvey’s and Mike’s Gemini Twin picking up trash from the streets. Trashbags, gloves and trash pokers will be provided by CU, who will collect bags at the end. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join. |
| June 18th: Suminagashi Workshop 6PM-8PM @ The Cedars Union Suminagashi, meaning “floating ink”, is a Japanese marbling process involving the suspension of ink in water. Create swirling surfaces with different techniques on paper and silk with printmaker Adrienne Lichliter. $40 for public, $25 for CU Member Artists. |
| June 25th: Mural Art and Street Art-The Business and Legal Aspects to Public Art 6PM-8PM @ The Cedars Union Cities like Dallas have increased their demand for large scale art projects for beautification and creative appeal, but contracts and rights can be confusing for both the artist and the patron. In this talk attorney Semmetria Goodson will go over important legal issues surrounding public art. |
