COLLIN COLLEGE Hosts Collin College Student Invitational

The Art Gallery at Collin College will host the Collin College Student Invitational Exhibition, from April 24 through May 15, 2019.

Please join us as we reward and acknowledge the artistic efforts of a select group of returning students. Each student participant was nominated by a member of THE ARTS faculty of Collin College and will exhibit one or two pieces of their recent art works from all media.

Art courses offered at Collin include 2-D design, 3-D design, ceramics, communication design, digital arts, drawing, figure drawing, jewelry/art metals, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and watercolor.

A reception will be held, free and open to the public, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Thursday, May 2nd. Also, bring your lunch and join us for ART CAFÉ (brown bag series) in the gallery. ART CAFÉ in a Box (following the two performances of Opera in a Box). A conversation between Gallery Director Julie Shipp and the concept of “Collaborative Magic” from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM on Thursday, May 2nd.

The gallery is located on Collin College’s Plano Campus, Room A175, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. Regular gallery hours are: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Monday-Thursday; 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Friday-Saturday.
