In this last lecture, I will examine the vast world of color and I will also take some time to discuss essential concerns and principles of composition, which is to the say the various way that artists organize and incorporate ALL of the elements of visual vocabulary in each work.
VISUAL VOCABULARY LECTURE SERIES
These lectures, given by Michael O’Keefe, will thoroughly explore various fundamental ideas of visual art. In each lecture, participants will view many examples of works of art that demonstrate a dynamic use of a particular art idea. Michael will discuss the nature of these concerns and how they are integrated into the compositions of the examples shown. Each topic will be considered as it relates to 2D and 3D art. The goal of these sessions is to help participants develop a more keen and complex understanding of essential art ideas. These lectures will entertain, surprise, inform and generally deeper your appreciation of the language of art.
