Joseph Haubert “Reflections” and Gary Perrone
opens March 02, 2019 // 6-8pm
Joseph Haubert, Born and raised in two urban north Texas cities, Dallas-Fort Worth, I found my love for urban aesthetic very early on. I originally started my photography journey taking abstract shots for my design work, when I was a graphics designer for the city of Arlington. I then experimented with editorial and fashion but the iPhone and social media changed everything for me. Having a small camera with me at all times and multiple platforms I could share my work on, motivated me to take photos whenever a photograph needed to be taken. Being one of the first adopters of Instagram, I connected with so many people early on, where I photographed / shared mostly the Dallas skyline. The Dallas Morning News was the first to publish my work. They featured me on their social media channels a total of 28 times my first year of photo-graphing urban cityscape (2014). The following year, NBC5 did a televised story on me for their “Texas Connects Us” segment showcasing my love for Dallas. Getting that exposure early on, I connected with a lot of people and businesses quickly. I now work as a full-time commercial architecture photographer, snapping cityscapes, commercial properties and anywhere else a pretty photograph is needed. I am a passionate person who sees the world with an artistic eye. Wherever I go, I want to share the beauty I see.

Gary Perrone, My work consists of a quest for a perfect meditative state and its depiction through geometric and kaleidoscopic progressions of light and color. The concept for my paintings is based on the idea that thoughts indiscernible to the naked eye can be represented visually. That considered I aim to give shape to my own thought processes and the visual noise therein. Streams of consciousness have rhythm and color – omnipresent layers that can enhance or obscure the ostensible. An order emerges as I fill the canvas revealing a path towards the innermost self.
The broad spectrum of art has always colored me. After thirty years as a professional graphic designer and art director I retired to rural northeast Texas to gain a different perspective. My time is devoted to creating art although I periodically accept commercial assignments as well as serve on local arts committees
Exhibit runs through March 30, 2019
