Meet Irving-based artist, Arjoon KC, from Nepal, as he shares his new vibrant paintings and explains his many unique styles with La Cima Club Members and guests at our Meet the Artist Reception.
KC works ranges from painting, murals, installation, Architectural Art Spaces, Interior Design, Furniture Design, Sculpture and Environmental Art. His work is based on his photographic memory, dream, travel and research. KC’s, whose artistsic journey that started from Northlake Colege of Irving in 2010 is now nominated and selected artist for “Lorenzo il Magnifico” 2019 Awards for Florence Biennale 2019. Currently he is brand ambassador of respectable brands like Macpherson’s, Art Alternatives, Mabef and Rgm Palette Knives from Italy. He is serving as Excellence Now Committee 2018 for Fine Art Department for Irving ISD and just completed Solo Show of 34 works at Irving Art Center as Honorable Artist Citizen of Irving 2018.
To share his love of art, KC opened AFactory Studio in south Irving in 2010. The studio has grown to become a museum and an art school. It’s also home to three galleries and an art shop. Along with exhibits at his studio, the artist has had several solo and group exhibits in the United States and Nepal. He says he’s most influenced by Jackson Pollack and Pablo Picasso. Like them, he takes an organic approach to painting, deconstructing the normal by blurring the flow of form and color. He also experiments with texture and surface dimensions.
