Laura Griffin’s 100th Copic class on Sept. 15 Flamingo card — plus a Beginner Copic Class

Registration is now open for my September 15th Copic Club class (to be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Jaycee Park Center for the Arts in Irving, TX). Sponsored by the Irving Art Association.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been more than 7 years since I taught my first Copic class.  Next month will mark my 100th Copic class and I can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with you!  I’ll be offering an extra-special class for existing students.  (If you’re a newbie…check at the bottom of this newsletter for info on my Copic 101 afternoon class on the same day).

This month, we’ll be making a “flamazing” flamingo card!

You’ll learn how to:
  • Combine Copics with paper-piecing
  • Use Copics on colored paper
  • Color feathers with Copics
  • and more!

In addition to the class project, I will be gifting each student with over $40 worth of goodies in appreciation for your support these last 7.5 years!

The September Copic Club class fee is $30.  Suggested marker colors will be sent once payment is received.

Never taken one of my Copic classes before but interested in joining in the fun?  Copic 101 is the pre-requisite for all monthly Copic Club classes.

My next beginner class will be offered September 15th from 1-3:30 p.m.  I have two IAA scholarships left for this class which means the first two to respond will get to attend for free!  Otherwise, the cost is $35.

We cover everything you’d ever want to know about basic Copic blending techniques, how to read the markers, what papers/inks to use, etc.  I provide markers for class use and students leave with a completed technique sheet + a beautiful butterfly card project.
