Visual Art League of Lewisville presents member Colleen Drew, Demo on Photo Encaustic at Members Meeting Sept. 11
THE NEXT MEMBER MEETING IN SEPTEMBER WILL BE COLLEEN G. DREW DOING A DEMO OF HER PROCESS FOR PHOTO ENCAUSTIC. SHE WILL SHOW YOU DIFFERENT WAYS OF USING THE BEESWAX AND DAMAR RESIN MIXTURE TO ADD TEXTURE,
DIMENSION, AND COLOR TO YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS. SHE WILL HAVE ALL OF THE TOOLS THAT SHE USES TO CREATE HER ART PIECES, SHOWING SOME INEXPENSIVE WAYS TO ACHIEVE RESULTS WITH YOUR OWN WORK. THIS WILL ALSO INCLUDE
SAFETY TIPS WHEN USING HOT WAX. IF YOU ARE WANTING TO TRY PHOTO ENCAUSTIC YOU WILL WANT TO TAKE NOTES FOR THE RESOURCES OF MATERIALS AND OTHER WAYS TO LEARN.
The Members Meeting will meet on Tuesday, September 11th from 7-9 in
Classroom 3 of the MCL Grand Theater.
This demo is open to the public and there is no charge.
The MCL Grand Theater is located at 100 N. Charles St., in Lewisville.
At the present time, the Fresh Ideas Show is in the Gallery until
September 8th. Gallery hours are 10-5, Tuesday-Saturday. Open to the
pubic and there is no charge.
